FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW MUCH TIME DOES MARCHING BAND TAKE UP?

Band members are required to participate in band camp during the summer and any questions in regards to band camp can be submitted to the band director.  Band camp during the summer starts in July every year.  2nd week of July is percussion, guard, and leadership camp.  3rd and 4th week in July is Full Band Camp for all Marching Band students.  All schedules, dates, and times are always provided by the band director and given to each student as well as a calendar posted on the Band App. Practices are after school starting in August on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 -7:00pm. The band will perform at each FIHS home football game. We also perform at the Fountain Inn Christmas parades. During the Marching Band season, we will participate in several competitions on Saturdays.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Marching band/color guard: $250
Winter guard: $350
Winter percussion: $350

IS TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED TO THE AWAY EVENTS?

Yes. Transportation is provided for participating students only.

ARE BAND STUDENTS REQUIRED TO MARCH?

Yes, unless they participate in a fall school-sponsored sport
